The class of 2011 four-star recruit said Maryland ranks in his top four colleges – the others being Pittsburgh, North Carolina and Illinois. Bryson plans to visit College Park either this summer or after one of his high school games next fall.
Many things about Maryland impress Bryson. “They got good coaching,” he said. “They have a very nice field, too. It just seems like a homely place.” Bryson added that he felt he might have a good opportunity to play as a freshman at Maryland.
Although Bryson might be a fierce competitor on the field, he seems to stay relaxed off the field. “When the game’s going on, you got to stay focused,” Bryson said. But, “I’m a real outgoing person, I talk to anybody and everybody. I like to communicate, I like to joke around.”
At 5-foot-8 and 173 pounds, Bryson might seem undersized to some. But he appears to be a solid athlete, having run a 4.43-second 40-yard dash. Bryson said that his quickness, good field vision and ability to cutback should help him succeed at the next level.
