Pe'Shon's Piece- Entry #1

TSR is excited to announce another new feature reporter, Maryland basketball commit Pe'Shon Howard.

What’s up Maryalnd fans, this is Pe’Shon Howard. As many of you know, I recently commited to the University of Maryland to play basketball. This is MY blog to help you, the fans, get a chance to know me.

To start off, I am a combo guard that weighs 195lbs and I’m 6’2. I am from Los Angeles, California. I go to Oak Hill Academy which is the same high school as Maryland player Landon Milbourne and former Terp Steve Blake.

I take great pride in my defense and I like to guard the other teams best guard. On offense, I score well and pass well. I can score various ways and I can make any kind of pass. I work hard which leads to me playing hard every play. My weaknesses are probably not always making the right decision. For my high school team, I am the first player to be a 3 year starter. Each year I have led the team in assist. This year I have a 4-1 turnover ratio. I am currently averaging 15 points and 5 rebounds. I rebound well for a guard.

My dad is William Howard. He pushed me very hard. This carries over to me pushing myself hard. He has always taught me to expect to succeed in everything. He makes sure that I am on the right track on and off the court. I have a 3.7 gpa.

I am excited to be a Terp. I was at the Florida State game. I LOVED the environment. The players said it gets crazier because all the students were not there. I can’t imagine it. I got back to school today and watched the Wake Forest game. The team played well, but just missed a few plays to win. But I like the way the team is playing. I can’t wait to start playing myself. For those of you who have never seen me play, my high school (Oak Hill) plays Saturday (Jan 16) on ESPN at 4pm EST. We play Northland HS. This is a big game for us and hope we get it done. We play again on ESPN vs St. Patrick’s on Feb 12. Then we will be playing at Dematha High School in April for the ESPN Rise Tournament.

Until next time
