TSR's Carlos Olazagasti recaps how Maryland's future opponents fared this weekend.

Homecoming weekend came and went leaving the Maryland Terrapins with a 2-5 record (1-2 ACC) after a loss to Virginia. There's still a bunch of football left to play, so here's how the rest of the Terps' schedule fared this past weekend:

Duke (Oct. 24 in Durham) was idle and remains 3-3 (1-1 ACC).

North Carolina State (Nov. 7 in Raleigh) went to Chestnut Hill and was run over by Eagles, 52-20. BC halfback Montel Harris had a career day as he rushed for 264 yards and five touchdowns, both school records. NC State quarterback Russell Wilson had a decent day, completing 23 of 40 for 243 yards, one touchdown (he rushed for another), and one interception. BC won the turnover battle 3-0. BC improves to 5-2 (3-2 ACC). NC State falls to 3-4 (0-3 ACC).

Virginia Tech (Nov. 14 in College Park) lost its hold on a top-five ranking at the hands of Georgia Tech by the score of 28-23. Georgia Tech quarterback Josh Nesbitt was the star of the game, rushing 23 times for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Overall, the Yellow Jackets rushed 63 times for 309 yards and four touchdowns on their way to hogging the ball for more than 38 minutes. Hokies halfback Ryan Williams did his best, combining for 122 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough. Virginia Tech falls to 5-2 (3-1 ACC).

Florida State (Nov. 21 in Tallahassee) was idle and remains 2-4 (0-3 ACC).

Boston College (Nov. 28 in College Park): See North Carolina State.
