TSR Catches Up With Commit Sean Fitzpatrick

TSR's Tyler Radecki interviews 2010 TE commit Sean Fitzpatrick

Tight End Sean Fitzpatrick

How has the recruiting process gone so far?

It was okay. It got hectic at times, but you dream about playing at the college level. It's exciting to happen to me and I'm going to a great school.

Did you attend the Maryland spring game?

Yes I did.

Did you enjoy it? What did you like, dislike?

I loved it. Everything from the coaches to the energy that comes with it, it was great.

What was the main reason you committed to Maryland?

Definitely the coaches, the location of the school, and the strength of the business program; I want to be a business major.

What do you think you can contribute as a freshman?

I can spread the field from the tight end position and I want to be a good blocker as well.

Do you want to follow in the footsteps of past successful tight ends as Dan Gronkowski, Vernon Davis, and Joey Haynos?

I don't know if I'm that good yet, but I'll try to shoot for those goals.

What have you been doing since the end of your high school season?

I'm trying putting on some weight and keeping up my speed, but overall get stronger for next season.
