New Year, A Fresh Start

Hey Maryland fans, it's a new year and time for a fresh start at the Turtle Sports Report. We've got a new publisher and we're dedicated to bringing you the most comprehensive coverage of Maryland basketball, football and recruiting.

My name is Chris Chmielenski, and I am the new Publisher here at the Turtle Sports Report. I have been covering the Florida Gators for the last four years, but my family and I have moved to the College Park area, and I'm ready to work towards bringing you the best coverage of the Terps on the net.

I started covering the Gators four years ago and have been working for Scout.com for the last two. As the Managing Editor at FightinGators.com, we published more than 30 pieces of content a week. Now, it will take some time to get to that point at TSR, but I think we can get there.

My family and I recently moved to the area from Gainesville, but I grew up in the Northeast and my family's roots are in Maryland. I'm excited to get my hands wet during one of the busiest times of the year. The Terps are coming off a big bowl win in Boise as they prepare to make the stretch run towards National Signing Day and the start to the ACC basketball schedule is just a week away.
