Terps Add Local Linebacker Prospect Premium Story

Marcus Whitfield headed to Maryland football camp Sunday hoping simply to impress the Terps coaching staff and up his standing in their eyes. He did that and then some, earning a face-to-face with head coach Ralph Friedgen. The next day he was offered a scholarship, and today, the rising senior from Northwest High (Md.) accepted it.
