Questions at Quarterback

C.J. Brown

Maryland head coach Randy Edsall pulled C.J. Brown during the Terps' loss to Wake Forest, will he be back under center on Saturday? Brown gives the lastest on his status here.

Three weeks ago Maryland quarterback C.J. Brown suffered a concussion in the Terps' 63-0 loss to Florida State. Brown sat out the following week in favor of sophomore Caleb Rowe, who led Maryland to a win over Virginia at home, 27-26.

Brown was back last week against Wake Forest, but after taking several big hits and throwing two interceptions, head coach Randy Edsall pulled the fifth-year junior for sophomore Caleb Rowe. Edsall has since said that the decision was based Brown's health, although not related to his previous concussion.

"Our quarterback situation is that it'll be either Caleb or CJ in there, and again, we'll make decisions after we get through practice this week based on the health of our quarterbacks," Edsall said during an ACC teleconference on Wednesday. "CJ, the concussion isn't the problem. There's other issues there that we have to look at and that I've got to make sure as I watch guys practice if they can go out there and perform to the highest level possible and be able to perform and not put themselves in any more danger from a health standpoint."

Brown spoke his current health status and more in the video below.
