Offense/Defense AA Game: UM Recruits

The Offense/Defense All-American Game is set to take place tonight. Several Hurricane recruits will be playing so lets take a closer look at them

Three Hurricane recruits are set to compete in tonight's game.

TE Danny Mattingly -- One of the top tight end prospects on the West Coast, Mattingly made an early commitment to Notre Dame. However, he and the Irish have gone in different directions in recent weeks. He made a visit to Miami last month but he seems to be more focused on schools like Washington, Arizona State, and UCLA. Since the Canes landed a commitment from Beau Sandland, Mattingly seems to be off the radar for the Canes.

CB Rashard Robinson -- One of the top cornerback prospects in the entire state of Florida, Robinson made an early commitment to LSU. However, Miami offered the Ely standout over the summer and has been actively recruiting him ever since. At 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds, Robinson took an official visit to Miami a couple weeks ago so he's still interested in the Canes. However, he re-affirmed his LSU pledge in recent days so Miami seems to be facing an uphill battle.

S Jamal Carter -- At 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, Carter is one of the state's premier safety prospects. The four-star from Miami Southridge committed to the Canes early on but took recent visits to LSU and Oklahoma. He's still firmly committed to the Canes, however, so Miami doesn't appear to be in any danger of losing him. Recommended Stories
